Installation and Commissioning of your Scientific Equipment

When you invest in new scientific equipment for your laboratory or production environment, you will want to make sure that it is installed and commissioned correctly.

At Mason Technology, we offer a range of installation and commissioning services for scientific equipment including industrial scales and vacuum pumps, laboratory balances, analytical instruments, microscopes, general laboratory and life science equipment such as fridges/freezers, incubators, ovens, centrifuges, fume hoods and autoclaves. Additionally, we install, support, and manage software applications for weighing and analytical equipment.

Delivered by our manufacturer trained service engineers, our installation and commissioning services can be tailored to your own specific needs with options for certified and non-certified services.

Setup, Installation and Commissioning of Laboratory Equipment

During our installation and commissioning service, we undertake the initial setup of equipment in line with the manufacturer recommendations.  After setting up the equipment in its designated position in the lab, our service engineers will power it up and undertake basic function tests.  These tests vary according to the equipment being installed. A commissioning checklist can be provided on completion.

In addition to the basic installation service, our certified commission service (non-ISO 17025) includes certification of the equipment with a performance report/certificate.  The elements of the performance report depend on the equipment being installed.

Validation and Qualification Services

For organisations operating in regulated sectors such as pharmaceutical, biopharma, medical devices, nutrition and beverage, and manufacturing, we offer flexible validation services and consultancy around this. Our validation services include Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ) and Re-Qualification (RQ).  These services offer documented verification that the installation has been installed as per the manufacturer’s recommendations, that it is fit for its intended use or that it consistently performs according to a specification appropriate for its routine use.

Service Options and Extended Warranty for your Scientific Equipment

Maintaining lab equipment ensures that it continues to operate as it should and safeguards the efficacy of the results produced when using the equipment.  With many customers opting to outsource the maintenance of their lab equipment to external specialist providers, such as Mason Technology, we have several service agreements available to customers who wish to opt for additional peace of mind. Ranging from Premium Cover to Preventative Maintenance to Calibration only, our service agreements are flexible and can be tailored to meet your own specific requirements.

While our standard warranty provides for 12 months parts and labour from date of delivery, extended warranty is also available.  This provides for an annual extension to the warranty including parts and labour.

I wanted to thank you and everyone in Mason Technology who contributed to the successful delivery of our recent project, I was very impressed with the company. I found the team to be very professional and quality focused – from the development of the testing approach, generation of documentation, to the execution of the protocols. The qualification files are completed to a high standard and have proven to be very robust. I would particularly like to acknowledge Ken and the service engineers for their expertise, flexibility and ‘can-do’ approach which was vital in ensuring the equipment was commissioned and qualified in the tight deadlines.
