Unlike conventional absorbance-based turbidity measurements, nephelometry measures scattered light directly. This approach can provide greater sensitivity when detecting small quantities of suspended particles. BMG LABTECH states that the NEPHELOstar Plus can be up to 30 times more sensitive than traditional transmission optical density measurements, depending on the application.
The system can also form part of a more automated workflow. Compatibility with the Microplate Stacker and robotic systems makes it suitable for laboratories that need to increase sample throughput while reducing manual plate handling.
Mason Technology can help laboratories assess whether nephelometric detection is suitable for their assay, sample type and throughput requirements. We also provide installation and training, supported by more than 25 years of experience with plate reader detection technologies.
Choose Mason Technology for the NEPHELOstar Plus Plate Reader in Ireland and benefit from specialist application knowledge, local support and access to advanced microplate nephelometry technology.
