ScanStation 100 / 200 / 300 Realtime Colony Counters

Interscience’s ScanStation products redefine the standards for real-time incubators with colony counting. These advanced systems centralize incubation, detection, and counting of Petri dishes, providing critical insights into bacterial growth and behavior. The ScanStation series includes models that accommodate 100, 200, and 300 Petri dishes. Which ensures precise and efficient microbiological analysis by detecting and counting colonies as soon as they appear. These models feature a flexible LIMS integrated digital archive and audit trail with 21CFRpart11 compliance.

With its advanced imaging technology and optimised internal structure, the ScanStation Realtime Colony Counter provides superior accuracy. At the same time, thanks to its high-resolution camera and innovative software, the counting of colonies is automated and highly precise. As a result, low error rates are assured. The Real-Time Monitoring function of the software continuously tracks colony growth, providing instant updates and analysis. Then, after the counting is complete, the Data Validation function automatically checks the validity of the necessary data. While reducing the burden on the user, the efficiency of analyses is enhanced and the reliability of the data can be increased. It complies with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

ScanStation Key Features:

Capacity:

Each model features a rotating storage carousel and a thermoregulated incubator with Peltier modules, ensuring precise temperature control.

    • ScanStation 100: Accommodates up to 100 Petri dishes.
    • ScanStation 200: Accommodates up to 200 Petri dishes.
    • ScanStation 300: Accommodates up to 300 Petri dishes.

Real-Time Monitoring:

    • Continuous tracking of colony growth with instant updates and analysis. Petri dishes are photographed every hour, and colonies are detected and counted as soon as they appear, providing anticipated results and reducing analysis time from 24 hours to 8 hours.

Telecentric Lens:

    • Improved counting accuracy around Petri dish edges. The high-performance telecentric lens reduces perspective distortion and the area affected by the agar meniscus, increasing counting accuracy from 95% to 97.5%.

Software Compliance:

    • The software includes electronic signatures, audit trails, and encrypted data for security, with different user access levels. Complying with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines.

Data Integrity:

    • Saves images and videos of bacterial growth, ensuring traceability and validation. Data is archived and accessible throughout incubation, with videos helping to distinguish between particles and bacteria, avoiding false positives.

Multi-Batch Processing:

    • Simultaneous processing of batches with different light settings or incubation times. Petri dishes can be loaded at the beginning or during incubation, and the integrated barcode reader supports most 1D/2D barcodes, including QR codes and datamatrix, to avoid double data entry and save time
