More About Camag - DBS-MS 500Camag - DBS-MS 500
Online extraction system for MS and LC-MS or Sample Collector coupling. The fully automated DBS-MS 500 from CAMAG contains state-of-the-art technology to analyze target substances out of a DBS (Dried Blood Spot) on a DBS card. The DBS is directly eluted in the extraction chamber and the analytes are guided online to the analytical system of choice. Sample processing is automated, including the application of an internal standard through a high precision sprayer and a barcode assignment from the DBS card. In addition to the analytical results, a picture of each DBS card before and after extraction and the run parameters are reported to maintain full traceability and the highest quality.

More About CAMAG® HPTLC PROCAMAG® HPTLC PRO
The CAMAG HPTLC PRO SYSTEM (patented technology) offers repeatable and dependable results and is best suited for routine quality control of analytes extracted from complex matrices. HPTLC plates (20 x 10 cm) are used in a fully automated sample analysis and evaluation system
The HPTLC PRO SYSTEM, created for high-throughput analysis, revolutionises the handling of HPTLC while preserving the method’s flexibility. The system processes up to five HPTLC glass plates without manual intervention thanks to individual modules for each HPTLC step and time-controlled operation even overnight.
With just one mouse click in the visionCATS software, the user can initiate the fully automated HPTLC process after loading the vials into the Module APPLICATION and the HPTLC glass plates into the Module PLATE STORAGE. Throughout the entire HPTLC process, the HPTLC PRO SYSTEM moves plates from one module to the next using an integrated conveyor. The plates are returned to the Module PLATE STORAGE after analysis.
The cGMP compliant HPTLC PRO SYSTEM can deliver reproducible and reliable results with maximum standardisation and total automation, while low solvent consumption keeps operating costs low.
Process Steps
TLC/HPTLC is a highly flexible analytical technique. The plate is the central element which is moved through the individual process steps. For each process step the parameters can be adjusted to the specific analytical task. The higher the demand on the final analytical result, the higher is the required level of automation.
Application
The samples are applied as bands onto the HPTLC glass plate (20 x 10 cm) with the HPTLC PRO Module APPLICATION. Up to 75 samples can be applied autonomously. Precision of the applied volume, exact positioning and sharpness of applied zones determine the quality of the final result.
Development
The HPTLC PRO Module DEVELOPMENT, using HPTLC glass plates (20 x 10 cm), operates completely autonomously. The activity of the stationary phase can be adjusted, and the gas phase can be actively circulated during development (conditioning, regeneration), allowing a better separation of the analytes.
Derivatization
Substances without chromophores or fluorophores can be visualized by automated spraying of specific reagents onto the HPTLC glass plates (20 x 10 cm) with the HPTLC PRO Module DERIVATIZATION, controlled by the HPTLC Software visionCATS. The module features an integrated plate heating unit.
Plate Storage
Hosting two portable stackers for five clean and five processed HPTLC glass plates (20 x 10 cm) each, the HPTLC PRO Module PLATE STORAGE enables the autonomous operation of the HPTLC PRO SYSTEM by providing the system with clean plates and storing the processed plates during or after analysis.
