Edwards‘ EM Series pumps are rugged, mechanical oil-sealed pumps in a compact and quiet design. Small EM oil-sealed rotary vane pumps are renowned for achieving high ultimate vacuum and rapid pumping speeds with quiet operation and the ability to handle vapour. These pumps have become the industry standard in a range of scientific, laboratory, and light industrial applications, and are the ideal partner for backing your turbomolecular pump.
EM Series Pumps overview
- Quiet operation: For a better working environment.
- Flexibility of use: Freestanding unit compact design.
- Reliable performance: Proven in a range of laboratory and industrial applications over many years.
- Gas ballast valve: Used when pumping vapour.
- Built-in protection systems: The motor is enclosed and cooled by the motor-cooling fan which directs the air along the motor fins. Overheating protection is provided via a thermal overload device which is fitted in the motor and switches off the pump if it gets too hot, this will automatically reset when the motor cools down and restarts the pump. No manual intervention is required.
- Easy to maintain: The O-ring sealed sight glass makes visual inspection of the oil level and conditions simple. The oil drain port is located at the end of the oil box for draining oil out of the pump. A large oil filling port and recess in the top of the oil box top makes oil top-ups easy.
