As the exclusive distributor of the complete range of Evident products and solutions in Ireland, the Evident Team at Mason Technology is highly experienced and possesses a diverse blend of knowledge to support the range of business sectors in which we operate.
Our sales consultants, Gordon, Chris, Jenny, and Sinead, specialise in microscopes from both the sales and product support perspectives. Stephen and Ian are our NDT engineers, look after the sales and development of our non-destructive testing (NDT) offerings in Ireland. Additionally, Michael, our internal sales specialist, provides day-to-day support, while Damien, our specialist service engineer, focuses on servicing and repairs.

Sinead Quinn
Technical Sales Consultant
Dr Sinéad Quinn joined Mason Technology in 2017 following the completion of her PhD at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Sinéad also holds a master’s degree in Imaging and Microscopy from University College Dublin. Dr Quinn’s research was on molecular medicine, neuroscience and electrophysiology focussing on remyelination of axons in patients with multiple sclerosis and the role of ion channels and steroid hormones in polycystic kidney disease. Sinead’s academic experience is a great resource to support customers with application problems or microscopy difficulties.

Damien Coogan
Service Engineer
Damien Coogan joined Mason Technology in 2014 as a service engineer in the laboratory technical support (LTS) team. Damien’s team are responsible for microscopy in the clinical, pharmaceutical, academia, medical device and research market sectors. In 2015 Damien assumed the primary role of microscopy engineer for Mason Technology. This includes service, calibration, and maintenance. Damien is now backed up by 3 additional engineers and the software solutions team. All our microscopy engineers have been trained at the Olympus Academy.
Jenny Lanigan
Senior Technical Sales Consultant
Jenny Lanigan joined Mason Technology in 2011. As a senior technical sales consultant for Evident (formerly Olympus), she heads up the sales activities for microscopy and digital imaging in the clinical, pharmaceutical, academia, medical device and research market sectors from Dublin and across the West of Ireland. Jenny is an expert when it comes to pharmaceutical applications and clinical diagnostic laboratories where she has focused on building long-term relationships.

Michael Rice
Internal Sales Specialist
Michael Rice joined Mason Technology in 2021 as an internal sales specialist with the Evident team. Michael graduated with a BA in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin. Michael provides a great support network for customers and colleagues. With the communication skills he has developed through previous roles and his training in Evident, Michael is more than happy to help identify solutions to any customer concerns.

Stephen Smith
Sales Engineer
Ian Farley joined Mason Technology in 2023 as an NDT Sales Engineer, supporting customers in aerospace, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, R&D and scrap recycling among other areas, with a product specialty in Evident’s XRF analyser range, and a focus in Northern Ireland. Ian has a technical background with a BA in Physics and experience in sales of photonic components. He makes customer success a priority and will work with you to find the best solution for your application needs.

Chris Bradley
Northern Ireland Sales Manager
Chris Bradley joined Mason Technology in 2007 as a product specialist for Evident microscopy and has since been promoted to the Northern Ireland Sales Manager. He has trained in Evident (formerly Olympus) and has extensive knowledge of the products and applications. Chris graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a BSC in Biological Sciences. His broad application knowledge is a huge asset to the team, and he often assists in installations, training, or demonstrations where this knowledge benefits the customer.

Stephen Smith
NDT Sales Engineer
Stephen Smith joined Mason Technology in 2020 as the NDT sales engineer for Olympus’ SSD range of products, holding responsibility for a wide range of inspection equipment for analytical instrumentation (ANI/XRF), remote visual inspection (RVI) and non-destructive testing (NDT). Stephen has 8 years’ experience as an NDT engineer and holds a PCN Level 2 Certification. Stephen brings a strong technical background to provide support to customers from aerospace to pharmaceutical, power generation, manufacturing and engineering.
