Mason Technology take part in the European Week for Safety and Health at Work
Mason Technology recently took part in the annual ‘European Week for Safety and Health at Work’. Designed to raise awareness of important health and safety issues, the focus for 2020 was on work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
MSDs cause pain and discomfort in the back, neck, shoulders, and upper and lower limbs. They can affect a person’s ability to work and are the most common type of work-related health problem across Europe. In Ireland, manual handling accounted for thirty-one per cent of injuries reported to the Health and Safety Authority in 2018.
Mason Technology’s involvement in ‘European Week for Safety and Health at Work’ reaffirms our commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees. Coordinated virtually by our in-house Quality department, it involved a series of engaging and informative health and safety courses combined with daily challenges and competitions.
In a further confirmation of our commitment to health and safety, we recently achieved the ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications.
