Available as standalone units, controlled by the user-friendly VisioNize^® touchscreen interface, or externally controlled eco units, the Eppendorf Mastercycler X50 family offers the flexibility to meet all your throughput needs. Mastercycler X50 eco units can only be controlled by a connected Mastercycler X50 with a touchscreen, or the CycleManager X50 software.

Import your programs from slower cyclers to the Mastercycler X50 by only programming the total run time your current cycler needs. Mastercycler X50 automatically adjusts its ramp rate to the run time and the PCR will perform as you are used to. No further optimization of your proven protocols is needed.

Each standalone PCR thermocycler can be networked with up to nine additional eco units. For even higher throughput, you can control up to fifty MC X50 eco units with our CycleManager X50 software. Whichever you need, you’ll be able to monitor and manage every unit – individually, simultaneously or as a group – with the assurance that every PCR cycler provides excellent block homogeneity, accuracy and precision. For security, simply choose different levels of access for different users. Low noise and power usage, and the versatile flexlid^® concept for maximized consumable flexibility, make the MC X50 the most powerful and convenient PCR thermocycler set-up.

Mastercycler nexus - PCR Thermal Cycler

The Eppendorf Mastercycler^® nexus PCR cycler provides you with flexibility in many forms. Conduct PCR runs with a range of standard vessel types, from 0.2 mL tubes to 96 well plates using a single 96-well aluminum block. So there is no need to buy additional blocks, and for even faster ramp rates, silver block variants can be used instead.

If you need higher throughput, simply connect up to two eco cyclers to a programmable nexus thermal cycler for additional capacity. The configuration can also include the nexus X2 eco units – providing up to 6 independently operating blocks. The Mastercycler nexus cycler can even email you when the PCR run is complete.

Mastercycler nexus X2 - PCR Thermal Cycler

The Mastercycler^® nexus X2 is Eppendorf‘s solution for busy PCR labs. Two totally independent protocols can be run on the two blocks, so two PCR users can independently start and end their PCR reactions whenever they want. One of the assays can even have up to 64 samples. With less than 40 dB[a] noise emission, the nexus PCR cycler is whisper quiet and also very energy efficient.

Run two independent protocols simultaneously on one PCR thermal cycler with the Eppendorf Mastercycler nexus X2. The 32-well block is well suited for small assays, whereas larger assays can be run on the 64-well block, which is available with a gradient function.

Like every member of the Mastercycler nexus family, the Mastercycler nexus X2 can be combined with all other family members in a network of up to three units. In combination with Eppendorf’s PCR tubes, PCR strips or divisible plates, the Mastercycler nexus X2 will give you consistent, publication-ready results

Mastercycler X40 - PCR Thermocycler

The Eppendorf Mastercycler X40 leads your standard PCR into a new era. Its futuristic design is paired with known quality. The performance of the reliable aluminum block is developed for excellent temperature homogeneity. A 12-column gradient offers fast PCR optimization. Programs from older Mastercycler models can easily be imported. Use the program migration feature to transfer protocols from other cycler models so that you can start right away. All programming is done fast, intuitive, and comfortably via a chemical-resistant glass surface touchscreen and the well-established user interface also used for Mastercycler X50. The handle can be operated with one hand and the SafeLid automatically adapts to apply the perfect pressure on your samples for evaporation protection. No matter if you use 0.1 mL, 0.2 mL tubes and tube strips, or PCR plates. Any type of PCR plate − skirted, semi-skirted and unskirted plates − can be used.

For monitoring and audit trails, you can connect the Mastercycler X40 directly to Visonize LabSuite and by connecting multiple Eppendorf Visionize onboard devices you can transform your lab into a digital lab.

All in a thermal cycler that is only slightly larger than a piece of paper and weighs just 7.25 kg.

Sustainability is a must, therefore the Mastercycler X40 is shipped in a stable, protective cardboard box. The short manual included is enough to start your PCR immediately and the full manual is available as a digital version, accessible via a QR code on the device.

The Eppendorf CycleManager X50 allows control of up to fifty networked Mastercycler^® X50 eco units. Control for PCR can be individual, simultaneous, or grouped – perfect for high-throughput, standardized protocols where reproducibility is paramount.

Password-protected user access is optional and users can be assigned different access rights, allowing greater PCR documentation capabilities than ever before. It can also email you when your PCR is complete!

PCR Cooler & PCR Rack - PCR Accessories

Transport or store your PCR samples safe and stable in the colorful Eppendorf PCR-Rack. Dedicate one color to each lab member for easy identification and reduced contamination risk. Handling several PCR tubes or tube strips can be cumbersome. Eppendorf PCR-Racks are a great help when dealing with numerous 0.1, 0.2, and 0.5 mL tubes and strips.

The Eppendorf PCR-Cooler is a clean, easy-to-use, compact replacement for an ice bucket during PCR setup. Simply place the PCR-Cooler in a –20 °C freezer two hours before starting your assay and it will keep your samples cool for at least an hour. It also contains a temperature indicator that changes color when the temperature exceeds 7 °C. Ideal for protecting your samples during PCR setup.
