Mason Technology Appointed BMG LABTECH Agent in Ireland

New Partnership Strengthens Mason Technology’s Microplate Reader Portfolio for Life Science, Pharmaceutical and Research Laboratories Across Ireland.

Mason Technology has been appointed as an Irish agent for BMG LABTECH, a specialist manufacturer of microplate readers for life science applications.

The partnership, which commenced on 1 July 2026, strengthens Mason Technology’s laboratory instrumentation portfolio with BMG LABTECH’s range of absorbance and multi-mode microplate readers, supporting customers across research, academia, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical development, contract research and other laboratory-based sectors.

Founded in Offenburg, Germany, in 1990, BMG LABTECH has specialised exclusively in microplate reader technology for more than 35 years. Its instruments are developed, manufactured and tested in Germany, with solutions ranging from dedicated absorbance readers to advanced multi-mode platforms for assay development and high-throughput screening.

Through the new partnership, Mason Technology will supply BMG LABTECH systems including the CLARIOstar Plus, PHERAstar FSX, VANTAstar, Omega Series, SPECTROstar Nano, and NEPHELOstar Plus, alongside supporting accessories.

The portfolio provides laboratories with a range of detection capabilities including absorbance, fluorescence and luminescence, with selected systems supporting additional modes such as Fluorescence Polarisation (FP), Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF),TR-FRET and Alphascreen®.

Applications span areas including cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, drug discovery, environmental science, food research and quality control.

The addition of BMG LABTECH also complements Mason Technology’s wider laboratory portfolio, allowing customers to access microplate readers alongside microplates, liquid handling technologies and other supporting laboratory equipment.
