The Don Whitley Scientific H25 Hypoxystation creates hypoxic and anoxic conditions within a controlled and sustained workstation environment. For cell and tissue culture researchers who want a small chamber with stable conditions in which to accurately control oxygen, carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity, this workstation is ideal.

With the H25 you can control oxygen in 0.1% increments up to 20%; carbon dioxide in 0.1% increments up to 15%; and relative humidity up to 80%. This provides a great deal of flexibility in your research and confidence in your results.

The H25 Hypoxystation can accommodate 145 x 96 well plates while still leaving more than adequate space to process samples. This workstation is equipped with sleeved ports and has a built-in, rapid airlock that can accommodate 3 x 500ml Duran bottles.

Whitley H55 Hypoxystation

All the atmosphere inside the chamber passes through the filter hundreds of times an hour, which ensure the chamber environment is cleaned quickly. The Enhanced Biological Containment system can also be specified. This option provides additional safeguards in reducing the possibility of bacteria contained inside workstations being released via the main chamber exhaust valve and the airlock exhaust valve.

If you want to be able to operate your workstation with two different temperature levels, specify the dual temperature option. This provides a central divider between the workstation chambers allowing you to select different temperatures for each side. A manually operated sliding door between the two chambers allows items to be passed from one area into the other.

Whitley H95 Hypoxystation

The Don Whitley Scientific H95 Hypoxystation has been designed specifically for researchers requiring the ability to accurately control O₂, CO₂, temperature and humidity. It allows the user to control O₂, in 0.1% increments from 0.1% up to 20%; control CO₂, in 0.1% increments from 0.1% to 15%; carry out straightforward calibration of the oxygen sensor; control temperature between 5°C above ambient and 45°C; and to control relative humidity at 80% RH or higher.

The H95 has a chamber capacity of 600 litres and an airlock capacity of 36 litres. The airlock is fitted with an automatic internal door and provides an easy and rapid method for the transfer of up to 133 x 96 well plates or 252 x T25 culture flasks from the laboratory to the workstation. The airlock cycle takes only 5 minutes.

The Don Whitley Scientific H135 GMP Hypoxystation is specifically designed to be used as a clean-air isolator in processes following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). This workstation provides Grade A air cleanliness (EU GMP) and combines sterile hypoxic laminar airflow, positive operating pressure, and physical isolation to provide highly effective product protection. Due to being a completely closed, re-circulating, isolator system, this workstation can be housed in a Grade D cleanroom during GMP compliant use.

The full-time environmental control offered by the H135 GMP Hypoxystation maximises the reproducibility of the cell-manufacturing processes carried out inside. Further, this hypoxic isolator is designed to be modular and can be combined in different ways to form a production line that ensures that the cell-culture environment is never broken from the beginning to the end of the manufacturing process.

Each workstation is tested to ensure compliance with the relevant portions of ISO 14644-3. In addition, tests carried out in our own laboratories confirm the integral HEPA filtered laminar flow system meets the requirements set out in BS EN 12469:2000 with regard to protection of the working area from particulate and microbial contamination.

Two sizes of airlock are available for this workstation: one is 17.5 litres and provides for the effective transfer of up to 10 x 500ml Duran bottles (or items of a similar size) to and from the chamber in just 60 seconds. The airlock’s internal dimensions are 197mm x 388mm x 190mm (W x D x H). Whitley i2 Instrument Workstation

The Whitley i2 Instrument Workstation has been developed in response to a rising number of enquiries from scientists who desire to use Seahorse Extracellular Flux (XF) Analyzers in hypoxic conditions and were dissatisfied with the solutions available. Rather than adapting an existing tissue culture incubator for this purpose, Don Whitley Scientific developed a new tissue culture incubator specifically to suit the precise requirements of Seahorse Bioscience.

Extensive research and careful consideration have gone into the development of the i2, which has resulted in a modular system that includes a number of novel and unique features. This workstation can be used as a stand-alone unit or connected to a Whitley Hypoxystation via the Whitley Transfer Tunnel, enabling the preparation of cell lines under hypoxic conditions and their transfer directly into the i2 without exposure to air.

The Whitley i2 Instrument Workstation is equipped with a generous working area to conduct preparatory work. It is supplied with a removable front, internal mains sockets, and a wireless footswitch to control the patented oval ports.

Another unique feature is the 4-litre integral incubator. This temperature-controlled storage area enables you to precondition cell ware and incubate plates/media at 37°C, under the same atmospheric conditions as the XF Analyzer.
