More About Centrifuge 5427 R - MicrocentrifugeCentrifuge 5427 R - Microcentrifuge
The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5427 R is a high-speed, refrigerated microcentrifuge for high-throughput research. It doubles your tube capacity compared to a standard 24-place microcentrifuge thanks to its 48-place double-row rotor, while contributing to a more sustainable lab environment with its natural refrigerant.
Global warming and its consequences are one of the greatest challenges of our time. Hydrofluorocarbons, which have been used as refrigerants in cooling systems such as air-conditioners as well as laboratory centrifuges or freezers in the past, can contribute to global warming due to their chemical structure. To protect our planet for future generations, it is important to switch to much more environmentally friendly, “green” cooling agents − hydrocarbons. These natural coolants have a Global Warming Potential similar to CO2. To support this matter in the laboratory environment, Eppendorf now offers the first centrifuge in our portfolio with a natural refrigerant to protect your samples − and the planet.
The refrigerated microcentrifuge Centrifuge 5427 R was designed with high-throughput research applications in mind. With its aerosol-tight 48-place rotor it handles even the toughest challenges in a safe and reliable manner to provide you the efficiency boost you need. With speeds of up to 25,001 x g, this microcentrifuge is fast enough for all your molecular biology applications. All aerosol-tight rotors are equipped with the Eppendorf QuickLock lids for easy rotor lid opening and closing to enable safe centrifugation of hazardous samples. Choose the Centrifuge 5427 R if a 24-place microcentrifuge doesn’t meet your needs regarding tube capacity and if you don’t need the extra versatility our cross-over Centrifuge 5430 R can offer you.
Eppendorf Centrifuge 5727 R overview
- Soft-touch lid closure for ergonomic operation: No need to smash the lid or use unnecessary force − just a soft finger push and you are good to go!

More About Microcentrifuges 5425/5425 RMicrocentrifuges 5425/5425 R
Eppendorf microcentrifuges 5425 and 5425 R are true laboratory standards. These whisper-quiet 24-place microcentrifuges offer an outstanding set of features for a broad range of molecular and cell biology applications in Eppendorf and PCR tubes from 0.2 to 5 mL. The refrigerated Centrifuge 5425 R provides precise temperature control for processing temperature-sensitive samples with its advanced cooling system.
Eppendorf Microcentrifuge 5425/5425 R overview
- Comprehensive range of 6 centrifuge rotors: The comprehensive range of 6 rotors broadens the spectrum of applications of this microcentrifuge. It includes, for the first time, a swing-bucket rotor that accommodates 96 PCR tubes for quick centrifugation of droplets and condensate before and after PCR/qPCR. When harvesting bacteria and yeast, a fixed-angle rotor for 10 x 5 mL tubes with screw or snap caps is ready for you.
- Protect tube caps during centrifugation: The Eppendorf Kit rotor F-45-18-11-Kit enables centrifugation of samples in 18 x spin columns and 1.5 or 2.0 mL tubes at a maximum speed of 18,565 x g. This unique rotor offers a solution for the most common problem associated with working with MiniPrep spin column kits, open tube lids shearing off during elution steps. This problem traditionally occurs because standard rotors do not provide enough support for open tube lids during centrifugation. However, the Eppendorf Kit rotor is designed with an extended rim that serves as a rest for tube caps during centrifugation and protects them from shearing off. Your tube lids will no longer tear off during centrifugation!
- Centrifuge rotor adapters for multiple applications: The Eppendor Rotor FA-10 x 5 makes harvesting of bacteria, yeast or cell culture in Eppendorf Tubes 5.0 mL and the purification of DNA or RNA and plasmid DNA easy. The adapters which are additionally available also allow the centrifugation of 1.5 or 2 mL tubes as well as HPLC and Cryo tubes without even changing the rotor.
Features of the Centrifuge 5425/5425 R
- Aerosol-tight Eppendorf QuickLock® lids for simple and safe handling
- Outstanding software features (e.g. adjustable acceleration and braking ramps, 3 program buttons (only Centrifuge 5425), short function without continuous pressing of the key)
- Extended rotor program (e.g. 5.0 mL rotor, swing-bucket rotor for PCR strips)
- OptiBowl® design for quiet operation, even without a rotor lid

The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5810/5810 R, with its renowned quality and reliability, offers you the most cost-effective solution for medium to high-throughput applications requiring speeds of up to 20,913 x g (14,000 rpm). This benchtop centrifuge has been designed to fit into every lab and make routine work more comfortable thanks to its quiet operation, soft-touch lid closure and low access height for easy loading and unloading.
Experience true versatility with a broad selection of rotors and adapters that facilitate mixed loading of tubes, bottles and plates. A new generation of rotors increases the capacity of Centrifuge 5810/5810 R to a maximum of 4 x 750 mL (or 28 x 50 mL / 56 x 15 mL). The swing-bucket rotor and adapters accommodate tubes and bottles from 0.2 mL to 750 mL, and the fixed-angle rotor 0.2 mL to 85 mL tubes. The plate rotor is ready for you to carry out centrifugation of all types of multiwell plates, such as PCR, cell culture, or deep-well plates.
Centrifuge 5804/ 5804 R overview
- Eppendorf benchtop centrifuge Centrifuge 5810/5810 R are the workhorse for laboratories with a medium to high sample throughput.
- Aerosol-tight lids for easy, one-hand operation: The Eppendorf QuickLock® caps significantly improve handling and facilitate easy, one-handed operation. You can safely transport the closed bucket with the handle to the biosafety cabinet where it can be opened in a safe environment.
