More About Nexera lite inert | High Performance Liquid ChromatographNexera lite inert | High Performance Liquid Chromatograph
The analysis of proteins such as antibody drugs requires careful operation because a high-salt mobile phase sometimes corrodes the system. In addition, the adsorption of proteins to metal surfaces often results in poor chromatographic performance. Providing the same expandability and superior performance advantages of the Nexera series HPLC Systems, the Shimadzu Nexera lite inert is the ideal solution for addressing challenges related to metal-adsorption that compromise quantitative accuracy, sensitivity, or separation and mobile phases that cause system durability problems. It is a robust HPLC system that eliminates the risk of corrosion by high-salt mobile phases and sample adsorption onto metal surfaces with a maximum pressure tolerance of 20 MPa. It also improves the data quality of protein analysis in biological samples with superior reproducibility, without any special considerations for stable and long-term use. Nexera lite inert features

Advances in column technology have led to a renewed interest in supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC), the Shimadzu Nexera UC, which uses a supercritical fluid as mobile phase. Compared to liquid, supercritical fluids have low viscosity and high diffusivity. By combining SFC with Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), which utilizes the high permeability and diffusivity of supercritical fluids, the extraction and analysis of target components from solid samples can be automated. The new analytical technology “Unified Chromatography” improves the analytical workflow by integrating sample extraction, analysis by various separation modes, and high-sensitivity detection. More About Nexera XS inert | Ultra High Performance Liquid ChromatographNexera XS inert | Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatograph
For many biopharmaceuticals and medium-molecule drugs, it can be difficult to acquire reliable data using a typical HPLC system, due to adsorption caused by interactions with metal ions. That tendency is particularly true for molecules that contain phosphates, carbonyl groups, or other characteristic elements or functional groups, the adsorption of which can affect analysis in various ways, such as by causing poor peak shape or inadequate sensitivity. Therefore, to increase the sensitivity and accuracy of analysis, it is important to inhibit the adsorption of compounds to the system. In addition to the standard Shimadzu Nexera models made with stainless steel for excellent pressure resistance, broad applicability, and robustness, a new bioinert model has been added to the Nexera series product line. Nexera XS inert UHPLC systems achieve a 105 MPa pressure capacity while inhibiting adsorption to metals by using PEEK or ceramic materials in flow channels where samples flow. They also offer excellent resistance to corrosion and a broad range of pH levels, meaning they can be operated reliably using mobile phases that contain high haloid salt concentrations or have extreme pH levels. More About Nexera Mikros | Microflow LCMS SystemNexera Mikros | Microflow LCMS System
Improvement in the sensitivity of an LC/MS/MS method can generally be achieved by reducing the analytical scale of the analysis. However, reducing the analytical scale significantly to nano-flow reduces the throughput, stability, and robustness as a trade-off for greater sensitivity. Nexera Mikros, a Shimadzu microflow LC/MS system, offers a balanced solution to increased sensitivity with less compromise to throughput and robustness, using flow rates from 1 to 500 μL/min and column I.D. from 0.1 to 1 mm. It achieves stable and sensitive quantitative analysis through robust performance of microflow solvent delivery, optimized ion source design, the unique UF-Link column connection, and system variety that supports a wide range of applications.
